Image Trace adalah yang bermaksud menelusuri atau penelusuran. Dalam grafis, bila dalam bahasa yang disederhanakan yaitu menjiplak gambar, adapula yang mendefinisikan tracing sebagai proses perubahan format gambar dari bitmap menjadi vector. Tracing ini bisa dilakukan dengan beberapa aplikasi. Misalnya, Macromedia Freehand, Corel Draw, Zara X Open an image in Photoshop. You can do this by launching Photoshop and going to File > Open to select a file. Unless you're opening a file with multiple layers saved in it, this will make the selected image the background layer of your Photoshop canvas. Pilih atau seleksi objek tersebut, kemudian lihat ke property bar dan cari “Trace Bitmap”. Pengaturannya pilih Trace Bitmap kemudian sorot Outline Trace dan pilih Line Art. Akan muncul layar baru berupa perubahan atau preview dari proses bitmap menjadi vektor. Aturlah sesuai keinginan baik pada bagian “Settings” ataupun pada menu Under the pen tool, choose Content Aware trace. Set the Detail amount. Click the edges to add the path segments. Use the pen tool to join the gaps (The video above shows how to test for the gaps and how to use the pen tool like this) Use the Add point tool to refine the paths.
